Let's open it together!!!
Aside from the DVDs there's a resistance band, food journal, and some eating plans. Obviously I bought this for the workouts, but I'm going to at least look at some of the food suggestions and perhaps give some things a try. We'll see, I haven't even flipped through it yet. I did just quickly glance through the "7-day kickstart your metabolism" plan and I'm thinking I might give it a go. You know how you'll see recommended daily meals in random diet plans and it's always a bunch of really weird stuff you wouldn't want to eat? Well this couldn't be more different, it actually has a lot of stuff I've already been eating pretty regularly as part of my new healthy lifestyle, so it's actually nice to see a lot of my choices being reinforced.
So I won't be delaying - I plan on jumping in tomorrow with my very first workout!! Stay tuned for my "Day 1" review :-)
I decided to do the 7 day kickstart, too. Starting it all tomorrow! I'm about to blog about the grocery shopping trip. :-)
ReplyDeleteErin... I'm just curious.. what are some examples of these meals that aren't random and weird?
ReplyDeleteSo basically she breaks out by breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. For breakfast one of the options is greek yogurt, which I'm basically already eating most days for breakfast, lunch there are a couple salad options or soup and chicken (and that's something I can just make ahead of time and pack up to-go, easy win), for snack it's carrots, pepper strips, & hummus or celery sticks with almond butter, and then dinner there are a few fish options that look easy and good (if I liked fish), or steak and a tomato salad or southwestern turkey burgers. Since I'm already eating greek yogurt, salad, carrots, and turkey burgers like it's my job, I don't think this will be a crazy adjustment for me. I haven't even begun to go through her more extensive recipes/meal ideas for after week 1.
DeleteI just ordered the body revolution yesterday. Prepping myself in reading your blog and some of the others....way too excited, can't wait to start!
